How is online gaming in Nevis regulated?
The Nevis Online Gaming Authority (NOGA) administers applications and supervises licensees. Under the Ordinance, the Minister issues the license following NOGA’s recommendation. NOGA was established under the Ordinance and operates under the Nevis Island Administration (NIA).
It operates under two instruments: the Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance, 2025 (No. 2 of 2025) and the Nevis Online Gaming Regulations (SRO No. 5 of 2025). The public register at nevisgaming.com lists all active licensees.
Two distinctions to understand before applying:
NOGA vs. FSRC: NOGA administers gaming licenses and supervises licensees. The Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) oversees financial services on the island. Under section 35 of the Ordinance, the Minister appoints a Regulator to supervise licensees. In October 2026 the FSRC Nevis Branch designated a Regulator, Online Gaming, who works with NOGA. NOGA’s public register is the record of who holds a license.
Gaming Ordinance vs. Business Corporation Ordinance: The Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance, 2025 governs gaming licenses. The Nevis Business Corporation Ordinance governs IBC incorporation. The incorporation law depends on the company structure; gaming licensing has separate requirements.
